Turn Away Goals

Turn Away Goals

You typically see them on artificial grass fields: swivel goals. They are typically used on training fields in order to make the most efficient use of the playing field, but they also come in handy if there is little space at the field itself for storing freestanding football goals. Football clubs often train with multiple teams at the same time, which is when it's useful to have an extra set of football goals on the field. The big difference between freestanding football goals and swivel goals is that swivel goals are mounted into ground sockets. They're actually just like socketed football goals, but smaller in size. Swivel goals can be easily moved by two people without needing to lift. These football goals ensure a safe sports environment. They can also be used during matches because they are positioned for the official KNVB size for youth football.

Turn away goals or freestanding football goals?

Tur away goals and freestanding football goals are both intended for training purposes. Football clubs have different ideas when it comes to purchasing football goals. One club will opt for a fixed structure and another for a more flexible solution. Both types have their benefits and disadvantages. There is no right or wrong. Be sure to examine your requirements and the available space. It's good to know that swivel goals are only available in a size measuring 5 x 2 meters. For all other sizes, you will have to purchase freestanding football goals.

Use of turn away goals

SKOR turn away goals were designed so that two people can easily operate them. Normally, the turn away goals are turned against the perimeter fence in a folded position. Then they are anchored to the fence using a laminated steel cable. To use the turn away goal, simply rotate the goal towards the playing field. The position relative to the line will always be good due to the fixed position. Then slowly allow the net support to fold downwards in order to lock the goal. This will also prepare the goal net for the game. Should you forget to lift up the net support when turning the football goal, the design is such that the support will automatically detach. This way you won't damage the goal. SKOR swivel goals also don't have any protruding parts. The wheels, for example, have been integrated into the profile strip on the front.
