Beach handball is played by men and women in separate or mixed teams consisting of 3 field players and 1 goalkeeper. The playing field is 27 meters long and 12 meters wide. A match lasts 2 x 10 minutes, and at the end of every set there must be a team with the most goals. If there is a tie, a golden goal will ensue and the team that scores first wins. The team that wins the most sets wins the match.
